AMBRIC
AMBRIC is a factory of type "fabless semiconductor", ie a company that deals with the design and sales of the devices but not manufacturing, which is entrusted to other companies. It was the first producer in the world that has released a TeraOPS class chip (trillion operations per second) dedicated to the production and development of software for embedded systems.
The company was founded in 2003 with headquarters in Beaverton (Oregon, USA), and deals with the production of Massively Parallel Processor Array chips (MPPA) for embedded systems to high performance, accelerators hardware for desktop and server type applications.
In November 2008 the company went out of business due to lack of necessary funds for the continuation of production
